Support Senate Bill to Preserve Access to Home Health

One of the sessions in our upcoming Virtual Conference – Community Care – A Changing Paradigm will feature speakers from the National Association of Home Care & Hospice (NAHC).

The session entitled “How will Public Policy Shape the Future of Home and Community Based Care Models?” is particularly pertinent in the wake of CMS’ June 2022 proposed payment cut of 7.69% for CY2023.

Legislation has been introduced in the Senate designed to prevent CMS from moving forward with this proposed payment cut.  . The bill, the Preserving Access to Home Health Act, S. 4605 is being led by Senators Debbie Stabenow and Susan Collins. It would freeze the current payment rate in place, with the exception of annual market basket updates, through 2025.

Please urge your Senators to sign on to it. Calls and personal messages are best, but for those short, on time a message has been pre-drafted and is ready to go in the NAHC Virtual Advocacy Center. A House version of the same bill is expected soon.
